Dear Students, 

Please read the below instructions carefully for your Final Group Assignment.

Choose a place you want to study from the perspective of the risk of abuse, violence or exploitation. Identify the people for whom these risks exist. Understand the space in the context of safety from gender-based violence/abuse and exploitation using one assessment tool. Design a creative community-based solution for the place which addresses the risk or makes the space safer.

Detailed points as discussed before -  

1. Problem - What are the safety concerns or needs? What safety outcomes are we working towards?

2. Place - University campus, School, Rural community, Urban locality or neighbourhood, Residential apartment complex, Park, Mall, Railway station, Local market, Work space (corporate or other office)

3. People - for whom, from whose point of view 

4. Process – assessment tools such as audit / tool / checklist / safety map / FGD / interviews

5. Purposeful Solution - a creative, community-based solution to the community (including mechanisms of feedback and reporting.

Group presentation must include and share details of all the steps: Problem. Place. People. Process. Purposeful Solution. 

Submission Rules: Only Team leaders submit the assignment on this platform.

Team Leaders: Make sure all team members participate and share their ideas for the assignment.  

Evaluation Criteria

•       Depth of understanding of the safety problem 

•       Effectiveness of the safety assessment tool (audits/interviews/surveys) 

•       Effectiveness of the safety solution 

•       Creativity and Innovation in the making of the solution and presentation
