Group Assignment 3 - User Stories
Based on the interviews you conducted for your user journey map, write 3 user stories.
Your user stories will be based on the activities your users do or process they follow during each stage of their flight-taking journey. Focus on some of their pain points, challenges, needs, goals, challenges, motivations, etc., during each stage.
For example, during your interview you may find out that your persona generally drives to the airport and parks there. They always find it a struggle to find parking. Many times, they’ve had to pay through the nose to find parking, or park in unsafe areas of the airport. Based on that need/pain point/challenge you determine and recommend to your client that it would be great if there were an airport app that can tell them about available parking, for how many days they can park there, and how much it would cost them? It would be even better if they could book a spot before getting to the airport, so they don’t have to scramble last-minute, and risk missing their flight.
Use pain points to write your stories
Once you have collected your user pain points you can write your stories in response to them.
The most common format for a user story is:
-
As a … (who is the user: be as specific as possible)
-
I want to / need to … (what task is the user trying to do)
-
So that … (why does the user want to do this task and what is their goal)
For example:
-
As a frequent flyer
-
I want to know where I can find safe and affordable parking at the airport
-
So that I don’t end up paying too much or parking in an unsafe area
Now, provide content suggestions to match your user stories
For example, Content for the above user story could be:
-
A story that talks about various options of getting to the airport
-
Reviews from other travellers who use the parking facility frequently
-
A heat map that shows all possible parking facilities at the airport
-
A calendar that allows you to book time, date and duration
